Director, Salter Art Appraisals & Consulting
Salter provides art collection consulting services to clients public and private. She works with major collections and public art collections. An accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, she regularly provides museums, municipalities and universities with collection management services including CCPREB, appraisal, insurance, conservation and long term maintenance strategies, acquisitions and de-accessioning supports.
Salter has held senior Director/Curatorial positions at the Art Gallery of Mississauga (2014-2019) and the Art Gallery of Windsor (2009 – 2012) curatorial positions with the Ydessa Hendeles Foundation and George Adams Gallery, NYC; collection management positions with Auctionata, the City of Windsor and teaching positions within the Art History Departments at the University of Miami, The University of the West Indies and Nova Southeastern University, Jamaica and Bahamas.
She holds a BFA in Art and Art History from the University of Windsor, 1994, and an MFA in Art and Art History from the University of Miami, 1996. Her past curatorial research has explored ideas concerning visual art, cultural history and community accessibility.
