With over 15 years of experience in the Canadian art market, Julia is a seasoned fine art specialist offering expert insight into both contemporary and historical Canadian & International fine art.
Drawing on her background with leading galleries and auction houses, she provides reliable, transparent, and customized appraisal services for collectors, estates, institutions, and galleries.
Julia is an ISA Member and has completed the 15-Hour Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Course. She graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours), majoring in Art History.
Julia has experience appraising contemporary and historical Canadian and International fine art, including Northwest Coast paintings, prints & sculpture, Inuit prints & sculpture, Pop Art prints, 20th & 21st Century photographs, works by the Group of Seven & their contemporaries, works by Emily Carr, Joe Fafard, EJ Hughes, David Blackwood, Takao Tanabe, Jack Shadbolt, Jean Paul Riopelle, Sybil Andrews, Jack Bush, Gathie Falk, Ted Harrison, Alex Janvier, Yousuf Karsh, Dorothy Knowles, William Kurelek, Jean Paul Lemieux, Daphne Odjig, William Perehudoff, Mary Pratt, Bill Reid, Gordon Smith, Andy Warhol, Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun, and many more.
